Natural-Looking and Long-Lasting Replacements for Missing Teeth

dental-implants1A dental implant is a titanium post that is inserted into your jaw to act as an artificial replacement root for a missing tooth. An implant can support a dental crown, a dental bridge or a denture. Dental implants attached to a new tooth or teeth can act similarly to natural teeth, and with proper care, they are long-lasting.

Dr. Daniela will take great care with each element of your implant treatment and will guide you through the entire procedure. This includes close coordination with an implant dentist who will place your implants while Dr. Daniela designs and places your replacement teeth.

High-Quality New Teeth

Dr. Daniela partners with skilled and experienced implant placement dentists who uses only high-quality implants. To ensure that your new teeth will be durable, well-fitting and comfortable, she creates your new replacement teeth out of quality materials using a reputable lab.

Our Dental Implant Procedure

Dr. Daniela will review your X-rays and information to determine if you are eligible to receive dental implants.

Dr. Daniela will evaluate your current dental situation, including taking digital X-rays, and review your medical and dental history. She will read and interpret your X-rays and obtain any other information necessary to determine if you are eligible to receive implants. This might include a dental CT scan, which she will arrange with her implant dentist. She will coordinate with her implant dentist in the placement of your implants and will work closely with you and the implant dentist to ensure that all goes smoothly and that you are well-informed and relaxed about the procedure.

Dr. Daniela will fabricate your new teeth using quality materials. She designs them to fit properly in your bite and to look as natural and aesthetic as possible. She provides you with temporary replacement teeth to preserve your smile while your implants heal. She will work closely with you to ensure you are satisfied with your dental implants and final crown, bridge or denture.

Our Dental Implant Services

Dental implants can be placed to support one missing tooth, multiple missing teeth in a row, or an entire arch of missing teeth.

  • Individual implant

single-tooth-implantA single missing tooth can be replaced by an implant topped by a dental crown.

  • Implant-supported bridge

To replace two or more missing teeth in a row, Dr. Daniela can provide you with a durable and natural-looking porcelain bridge that is supported by implants.

  • Implant-supported snap-in removable denture

implantsupporteddentureslargeTo replace an entire arch of missing teeth, Dr. Daniela can create a denture that has special attachments which allow it to snap onto a series of implants. Implants hold the dentures stably in place and increase their chewing power significantly. You can remove it whenever you wish for cleaning or other care.

  • Implant-supported fixed-in denture

denture-stabilizationDr. Daniela can create a full-arch denture that is designed to fix onto the implants. These dentures are only removable by a dentist. Fixed-in dentures provide chewing power similar to that of natural teeth. Learn more about implant-supported dentures.

Benefits and Advantages of Dental Implants

Dental implants have numerous benefits and advantages that make them a better form of tooth replacement for those who can receive them. An implant simulates a real tooth root and provides strong chewing power.

Implant-supported teeth can act to keep the adjacent teeth stable in their positions, preventing them from drifting and causing problems with your bite alignment or ability to chew.

Who Is Eligible for Dental Implants?

In the past, patients with too much bone loss in their jaw, patients who had medical problems such as diabetes or who were heavy smokers were not eligible to receive implants. However, modern bone grafting techniques and advances in implant placement technology now make it possible for many patients to receive implants safely. There are some age restrictions for receiving dental implants, primarily young persons whose jaws have not fully developed. The age of an elderly person is generally not a limiting factor, but their medical situation can be.

Dr. Daniela will make an evaluation of your candidacy for dental implants as part of her Dental Implant Consultation.
