Gum disease is one of the most frequent causes of tooth loss in the United States. To prevent gum disease and help you keep your teeth for life, regular professional teeth cleanings and good care of your teeth at home is vital.

Our hygienists are friendly and very well trained. They are passionate about helping you achieve great dental health for life. They provide gentle and thorough teeth cleanings and give excellent instructions on how to keep your teeth and gums healthy between visits.

Oral cancer screening

Before we start your cleaning, we take your vital signs and perform an oral cancer screening. We rarely come across any alarming situations, but an oral cancer screening can detect difficulties before they have a chance to develop into something serious. Oral cancer is very treatable if discovered early.

Effective ultrasonic scalers

ultrasonicScaler3We use ultrasonic scalers to gently and effectively remove the accumulated bacterial deposits on your teeth when needed. Ultrasonic scalers use high-frequency vibrations to break up and clean away these hard deposits. The vibrations also shatter the cell membranes of the bacteria and destroy them.

Patient education

As part of your cleaning appointment, we provide thorough education on how to take excellent care of your teeth and gums at home. Your hygienist will show you brochures, dental videos, models and intraoral photos of your mouth. She will explain how to effectively brush and floss to maintain your oral health. She will also demonstrate these techniques and answer all of your questions so you can use these methods confidently.
